What We Do

We work for hundreds of businesses throughout the UK and have specialists which cover construction, industry and manufacturing.  We also work in the public sector and provide support to internal teams or contract and outsourced safety arrangements which run from a day per month to five or more days per week.  No matter what mix of safety, environmental and quality management support you need - we can help, starting with a no obligation meeting - contact us to find out more or ask us to call you back.

See below for some examples of the work which we complete.

Sector Description of work  Notes
Defence / manufacturing

The outsource of the majority of tasks cover the health, safety and environmental aspects of the business. The client is a multi site defence contractor with various contracts for the UK and other governments to provide a range of defence equipment.  The site has a diverse number of risks which the business had previously found difficult to cover with a single safety manager and so the decision was made to try outsourcing when the last incumbent left the organisation.  We were able to provide a range of support which covered ISO14001 and other areas supporting the HR Team directly and liaising with operations and other internal stakeholders.

We have worked to reduce the burden on existing paperwork through a process of rationalisation and integration and have worked to ensure that safety is seen and treated as an integral part of the business rather than the sole duty of one employee.

Public sector / museum / attraction

Our relationship with the British Museum began in earnest in 2013 when we were contacted to submit a tender for the new World Conference and Exhibition Centre (WCEC).  After our successful tender we worked with the Museum to address not only the safety aspects of the build as their CDM Co-ordinator (now Principal Designer under the 2015 Regulations) but also to assist with the safety aspects of the move of a significant number of staff into the new building.  Our job included advising on safety aspects on occupation, snagging the building from a safety perspective before occupations, re-writing and updating risk assessments and COSHH assessments and providing more general support to the Safety Manager and internal teams.

Since this projects successful conclusion we have been appointed to the British Museum Framework to advise on occupational safety, health and hygiene.  We are one of only three organisations to make the grade with one of the other a major international consultancy group which we think bears testament to our skills in this area.

Artists foundary

We have been working with the UK's leading artists foundary for over 10 years using the skills we have developed in other sectors to help a client with a unique set of risks running all the way from welding fume exposure through to casting of precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum and the use of an array of other chemicals to enable the unique finishes which are applied.

We complete a range of services which has varied from noise and DSEAR assessments through to specific COSHH risk assessments and have worked closely with the internal team to support them on new risk issues.

Further / Higher Education

We have a retained contract to provide outsourced health and safety support for a large FE organisation which has a very diverse set of risks to manage across two large sites near London.

The College had tried for some years to manage the role internally but the range and variety of risk present across each school area made finding one person capable of covering each risk a difficult task and over time the internal resources had been overwhelmed to an extent wherethey retreated from their role as an advisor causing concerns amongst the senior management team.

Our solution was to offer a single point of contact supported by the wider team coupled with regular onsite time to enable us to meet and engage with the various schools present.  Despite initial concerns we were very pleased to quickly gain the full support of the Unions and lecturers as well as support staff as we worked to identify, manage and control risks at sie in a proactive and pragmatic way.
